Joel Hastings

Joel Hastings joined the national board of the Log Cabin Republicans in 2007 and serves as chair of the board's politics and policy subcommittee.
Mr. Hastings is the Director, Worldwide Alliance Development at Pfizer Inc., where he works with community-based, patient and advocacy organizations to build support for state and federal public policy initiatives. Mr. Hastings manages a seven state area and is responsible for several national relationships on key issues.
Before joining Pfizer, Mr. Hastings served as Director of Government Affairs for the Northwest AIDS Foundation in Seattle, a congressional aide in Washington, DC to U.S. Representative Ralph Regula (R-16-OH), and a statewide lobbyist for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation in Columbus. He has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the College of Wooster in Ohio and a Master's degree from Cornell University.
Mr. Hastings has served on various boards and commissions, including the Governor's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS in Washington State. He resides with his partner of eleven years.
